Four categories: “regular” registrant, recidivists, aggravated sex offenders, and sexual violent predators.

Does the state use risk assessments for registrants (other than supervised release)?

Typically no, but there are risk assessments done for people categorized as Sexual Violent Predator. There are only about 25 so designated in the state.

Do any registrants remain privately registered? If so, who?
