+Yes, in 2025, the state passed [[https://www.wvlegislature.gov/Bill_Status/bills_history.cfm?INPUT=3164&year=2025&sessiontype=RS|HB3164]], requiring an annual fee of $125 to be paid by registrants, effective January 1, 2026. However, NARSOL, WVRSOL, and local WV counsel are filing a lawsuit challenging the law, which will be filed in October 2025. The lawsuit seeks to initially enjoin the law, thereby staying its effect until the challenge is adjudicated.
